Our Story

Founded by John in 1988, Acoustics Plus specialized mainly in acoustical drop ceilings and drywall work for commercial spaces at the beginning. Today, led by Justin since 2021, the Acoustics Plus team continues to provide acoustical ceiling and wall products, with a focus on high-quality, custom, and speciality installations. We work with some of the nation’s most recognizable companies, including McDonald’s and Burger King, as well as many lesser-known commercial, retail, and educational organizations at all sizes and scales.

In offices, healthcare facilities, restaurants and more, we’re focused on delivering acoustical ceiling and wall solutions that greatly improve the sound quality of these spaces to help augment the experience of those who work and visit. Just as importantly, we seek to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with local construction leaders, project owners, and suppliers. Get to know our team below.

Meet Our Team

John

Founder

Dedicated to the art of craftsmanship, John embarked on a career in carpentry after graduating from high school in 1971, joining the carpenters union in 1972 and beginning his journey installing acoustical ceilings.

For 17 years, John honed his skills as an installer, gaining valuable experience and expertise in the field before founding Acoustics Plus in 1988. What started as a modest two-person operation quickly evolved into a thriving business with over 20 skilled installers, thanks to John’s leadership. Currently, he’s responsible for scheduling and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, providing the necessary support to ensure that projects are executed with precision and excellence.

Approaching the end of his four-decade career, John is now preparing for his well-deserved retirement. John’s dedication to quality and his tireless work ethic have made Acoustics Plus a trusted name in the industry.

Justin

President

Justin began working at Acoustics Plus during summers when he was 14 years old, eventually transitioning to a full-time role as estimator in 2010. This role, along with his business education at Indiana University, allowed him to develop a deep understanding of the industry and prepared him for his eventual position as the company’s president, which he assumed in 2021.

As company President, Justin wears many hats, taking on responsibilities such as estimating, business development, contract management, and more. His vision and expertise continue to drive the company’s success, ensuring that Acoustics Plus remains at the forefront of the industry.

Heather

Chief Financial Officer

Heather joined Acoustics Plus in 2020, as our CFO, she handles all accounting and finance matters for the firm and is part of the senior management team of the firm with Justin. As an experienced finance professional with nearly two decades working in the field, Heather began her career after earning her accounting degree from Purdue University in 2006, making her mark in both the public and private sectors over the years. In her free time, Heather enjoys playing her favorite role – mom. With two daughters, one a gymnast, the other a swimmer, both very competitive, there’s always a practice or a meet to attend. Ever the proud parent, Heather never misses an opportunity to cheer her girls on from the sidelines.

Jeff

Project Manager

With over 30 years’ experience and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Colorado State University, Jeff is Acoustics Plus’ trusted project manager. His expertise allows him to successfully collaborate with owners, architects, engineers and general contractors to ensure projects are executed with precision and efficiency.
Jeff is extremely well-versed in all aspects of construction management, expertly managing our projects including negotiating contracts and change orders, maintaining project schedules, and much more.

During his downtime, Jeff enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three dogs. He’s also a woodworking enthusiast, and in the winter, he can be found hitting the slopes on his snowboard.
